Service Description
Class Duration: 3 Days *No agency affiliation is needed to attend A California State Fire Training certificate will be issued for this course This is an instructor-led course intended to be presented at the local level. The course lessons provide introduction to the function, maintenance and use of internal combustion engine powered chainsaws, and their tactical wildland fire application. Field exercises support entry level training for firefighters with little or no previous experience in operating a chainsaw, providing hands-on cutting experience in surroundings similar to fireline situations. **Students must bring hardhat, eye protection, work gloves and leather or firefighting approved boots to field exercise. Ear plugs will be provided.
Cancellation Policy
To cancel your registration and receive a refund you need to contact Southern Sierra Fire Training 30-calendar days prior to the first day of the class. A $15 refund processing fee will be deducted from the total refund amount for each class canceled. However, if you cancel your registration within 30-calendar days of the first day of class, you can carryover your registration towards any class we offer now or in the future. You will not lose your class registration. Just contact us to cancel and/or to apply your cancelled registration towards another Southern Sierra Fire Training class.
