Hazmat Incident Commander- Bakersfield
This course provides the tools and training needed for an individual to assume command of a hazardous materials incident. It focuses on the practical and legal requirements for managing such emergencies, including assessing hazards, managing risk, implementing protective actions, and making hands-on decisions through case studies and tabletop exercises.


S-390 Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior Calculations
This course is designed to introduce fire behavior calculations by manual methods, using nomograms and the Fire Behavior Handbook Appendix B. Our instructors will help students gain an understanding of the determinants of fire behavior though studying inputs (weather, slope, fuels, and fuel moisture). Students will also learn how to interpret fire behavior outputs, documentation processes, and fire behavior briefing components for both suppression and prescribe fire incidents. Our instructors also cover the electronic processer Behave.
